  • Principal Introduction Letter

My name is Susan Macaulay and I am excited to introduce myself as the new principal at John William Boich School. I am honored to assume the position of Principal joining the great team of teachers at JWB. I know this is a school which is recognized for its dedication to excellence, but more importantly, for its dedication to children.

I look forward to getting to know the students at JWB.  I enjoy spending time with students during the school day be it in their classrooms during instructional time or on the fields during the nutrition breaks. Our students will be encouraged to do their best everyday, and we will let them know they are valued and have a special place in our school community. Not only am I excited to begin working with the students, but I look forward to the work we will do together. As the old African Proverb states, “It takes a village to raise a child.”

I value open communication and look forward to sharing the great things that happen throughout the day at John William Boich, with our school community.  We will take every opportunity to,“celebrate the power within” each and every one of our students and of course I will be here to work with the JWB parent community as well.

My goal is to ensure that all of our students learn, grow and succeed in a happy, safe and caring environment. This has been my personal  philosophy since I began my teaching career some 20 years ago. People often say I treat all children in my school as if they were my own. Please know I will do my best to ensure all our students have the best possible experiences while at John William Boich.

I look forward to getting to know you and your children. Please join us for “coffee and conversation” on the blacktop when you drop your children off for the first day of school on  September 4th. I look forward to meeting you soon.

    Susan Macaulay

  • JWB Bag 2 School

    Happy Spring JWB Families!

JWB school council will once again be collecting unwanted used clothes for our Bag 2 School Fundraiser.

If you have any clean clothes, soft toys, bedding, drapes, belts, purses and shoes (tied together) that you no longer need, please bring them into the school starting April 9th.

Bags will be sent home next week but items can be brought in in any type of bag.  More information regarding drop off times will be provided closer to April 9th.

The funds raised from Bag 2 School will help with teacher wishlists as well as providing additional tools for our Creative Arts Room at the school.
